Twas the Nights Before Christmas

We had a very laid back few days before Christmas which was nice since we were going to be traveling on Christmas Day and the day after that. Two evenings before Christmas, we went to the Christmas service at our church. The music and the message were great! It was the perfect start to the Christmas weekend and reminded us once again of the most important reason that we celebrate Christmas - JESUS!
After church, we took some family Christmas pictures and actually got some good ones. It's too bad that our Christmas cards for the year had already been sent out!

On Christmas Eve, we spent the afternoon and evening at Matt's parents' house. We started with a delicious home-cooked lunch that Denise made. Then, we opened presents and relaxed while the girls played with their new toys. Lots of fun for everyone!

We came home and changed the girls into their Christmas pajamas for a few pictures. We also made sure to leave Santa some cookies and milk and carrots and reindeer food sprinkled in the backyard for the reindeer! I think that I was just as excited as they were to wake up in the morning and see them open their gifts!
