In preparation for Easter weekend, I thought that it would be fun for Allison and me to do an Easter craft. One of my good friends had shared an idea about making an Easter bunny out of an old sock. What a great idea - I had everything that we would need just lying around the house! The sock bunny was quite adorable...until I let Allison use a black permanent marker to draw a mouth on it. So, here is the finished product...it will be a cherished (slightly scary) Easter decoration for many years to come!
We had a very nice Easter weekend! My mom, dad, and brother Blake came down to visit. We had a lot going on but enjoyed getting to spend time together.
As usual, we dyed Easter eggs. Lindsey did very well with it even though it was her first time. There were no spills, but she did sip some dye from her spoon one time!
The Easter Bunny visited the girls and brought them lots of treats -- flip flops, a puzzle, a mini doll set, and a bubble toy for Allison and flips flops, a book, some "big girl" forks, and a bubble toy for Lindsey. And of course, the girls were most excited about the candy that they found in their baskets, too!
We enjoyed a wonderful service at church later in the morning, then we came home for a typical family photo shoot.
After the pictures, the girls had an Easter egg hunt. Uncle Blake was kind enough to hide the eggs. Lindsey was thrilled to find the eggs and then was ecstatic that there were actually treats inside of them!
A little while later, we enjoyed a delicious ham dinner that my mom and I prepared. We had a busy weekend but definitely a lot of fun!
