Allison turned five years old a couple of weeks ago! It's so hard to believe that five years have passed since she was born and that I'll be registering her for kindergarten next week.
Allison decided that she wanted to have a tea party to celebrate her birthday. I had so much fun brainstorming party ideas and decorating!
And of course, she wanted a princess cake!
Her friends Madelyn, Caroline, Erin, and Ashley came to the tea party in fancy dresses with their favorite dolls. They all had a ton of fun making necklaces for their dolls and themselves, playing the Tea Party Race game, and eating some tasty snacks. Tea, pink lemonade, peanut butter-filled pretzels, grapes, pineapple, strawberries, and Jell-o butterflies and flowers made for a nice little tea party.
Allison's favorite part of course was opening presents! She got a book of Bible stories, a princess bank, and a princess picture for her room from her friends.
Nina and Grandaddy gave her this cute play wedding cake and some adorable summer dresses.
Matt, Lindsey, and I gave her a cupcake pillow, a princess keyboard, a learning laptop, a play vanity, a flower lamp for her room, and a small aquarium with a fish.
Later that evening, we went to dinner with Nina and Grandaddy at Allison's favorite burger restaurant. She really wanted the waitresses to sing to her but was quite shocked by the whole experience. I'm not sure that she will be requesting that again! At least she got a free ice cream sundae with it!
The next day, which was actually her birthday, we met Gramma, Poppy, and Uncle Blake for a birthday lunch. Gramma came with her hands full of presents, balloons, and even a birthday cake! Allison loved it, and we all had a nice time together.
Gramma and Poppy gave Allison a ballet jewelry box with a ballerina that dances when you open the lid, a princess pop-up play tent, some jewelry, and a backyard set for her dollhouse. Uncle Blake brought her a ballerina Barbie doll. And although Uncle Scott and Aunt Lindsey weren't able to be there with us to celebrate Allison's birthday, they sent some princess Barbie dolls to Allison.
Allison had a wonderful birthday with lots of celebration! It was full of friends, family, presents, princesses, and everything pink. What more could a little girl ask for?!
