Happy 6th Birthday to our little Allison Kate! I can't believe that she is already six years old and will be finishing up kindergarten soon. Allison has really started to mature in the last year and is becoming such a sweet little lady. Everyday, I can see her growth in using manners, taking responsibility, and caring for others. She is a strong student at school and absorbs everything like a sponge! Allison's teacher has commented several times on how impressed she's been with Allison's learning this year. Allison is also learning how to be a great big sister to Lindsey. She keeps an eye on her, shares her toys with her, and hugs and kisses her all the time - it's very sweet to watch! One of my favorite things about Allison at this age is that she's starting to develop her faith in Jesus. We read a devotional with her, pray, and have discussions about God and what it means to be a Christian. Allison's hobbies right now are ballet, reading, and drawing. We love her so much and enjoy watching her grow!
Gramma, Poppy, Nina, and Grandaddy came over for a family birthday party last Saturday night. We had lasagna for dinner and cake and ice cream for dessert. After dinner, Allison got to open presents from all of us. She was thrilled with her new doll, scooter, pink boots, and a few other things!
